MY ONLINE SELF-DOXING
How have I developed myself in 18 months?
Entering the University as a freshman, I didn't clearly understand how the University operates in terms of academic study and leisure activities. From an introverted girl who was afraid of public speaking, I have gradually gained more confidence and now I can stand in front of the crowd and sell my ideas. In this 18-month process, I've also joined in many extracurricular activities and gained soft skills related to communication and academic fields. Moreover, research was one of the skills that I most lacked. However, I have improved and learned this lesson: Research is the foundation for understanding consumers' profiles thoroughly and we need to unrevealing each layer to understand them. So far, I have upgraded myself to a better version and ready to face the real industry working environment.
ONLINE SEARCH ABOUT MYSELF
So I decided to search for my full name on Google as I am curious whether I ‘exist’ online? It turns out that the Facebook profile- my social identity popped up among 122,000,000 search results. My Facebook account illustrates my daily life activities with some shared content about some advertising case studies that I found interesting.

Despite the social media presence, I have a low awareness and lack of online self-identity in the terms of the communication industry as when I search for my name + RMIT (Nguyen Bao Ngoc RMIT), there is no information or picture of me on Google. This is alarming because nowadays, high-profile people tend to network with potential candidates online rather than recruitment through CVs. Knowing how to portray yourself actively on the Internet is a necessary skill to enhance your credibility and showcase your work on digital platforms.
